For this project, 10 Rules of Graphic Design, I had to read about 20 design rules, choose 10 of them, and create a pamphlet in a style and theme of my choice. To prepare, I researched each rule and found images that I felt best represented them. When thinking about “rules,” I immediately thought of school and handwritten notes, which led me to design my pamphlet like a classic marble composition notebook. It felt like a fun, natural way to present the rules, almost like a student jotting them down in class. Visually, I used loose-leaf paper backgrounds, a handwritten style font, and tape to make the images look like they were stuck onto the pages. I also added scribbles and doodles to make it feel even more like a real notebook.
